Prior to the mid 1980's, the mortgage market was mainly client led with the general public approaching their local building society as and when they needed mortgage facilities. During this time there was virtually no competition between lenders, and therefore no need to design mortgage products that suited the borrower rather than the lender.
 
     
  Market Changes  
     
  In the late 80's and early 90's the market began to change when, as the general public began to become more demanding with their financial requirements. A number of enlightened lenders began offering innovative products to suit the modern market.  
     
  This trend gathered pace as advisors also demanded better products for their clients. The mortgage products now available are so much more favorable to the client than those of yester year, none more so than those available from INDEPENDENT MORTGAGE ADVISERS.
